Zhang, Xinning, Piano Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing (CCOM), Academic Director of the Piano Department at the CCOM Attached Middle School; a well-respected famous Chinese Piano educator.
Xinning was admitted by the CCOM Primary School when she was 10 years old; and graduated with excellent results in 1986, pursuing further studies at the piano department of Central Conservatory of Music afterwards; during the time when she had the opportunities to learn from several famous professors such as Prof. Zheng Liqin, Prof. Pan Yiming and Prof. Li Qifang. Xinning graduated in July 1990 with outstanding results and started her career as a teacher of piano major at the Piano Department of the CCOM Attached Middle School. Xinning won full scholarship in Sept. 1996 with extraordinary scores and took up advanced studies at the Music School of the Northwestern University of Chicago, perusing her master degree in piano performance. She was the 2nd prize winner in piano concert competition organized by the Northwestern University in Oct. 1996. Xinning graduated with all excellent scores in every subject in 1997 and was awarded master degree by the Northwestern University. Xinning returned to China as a teacher in the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing (CCOM) in Mar. 1998 until now. Under the continuous instruction from Xinning, lots of her students showed up the brilliance in piano performance and were awarded many outstanding prizes in the national and international competitions. National competition includes - CCTV Piano Competition, Chinese Small Golden Bell Competition, Wenhua Cup Competition, Asia Cup Piano Competition in Hongkong, Kawai National Piano Competition, Caesar Cup, Xinhai Cup, etc. Many of her students was awarded top three prizes in the international competition, such like – Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists in Germany; the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition for Young Musicians; Mozart International Youth Piano Competition; The International Piano Competition for Teenage at the University of Eastman in the US; the 13th International Piano Competition for Young Artists in Romania; St. Peterburg International Master Piano Competition in Russia; Horowiz International Youth Piano Competition; Chopin International Youth Piano Competition, etc. Xinning was awarded as the Excellent Instructor in the Horowiz International Youth Piano Competition, and was granted many times as the winner of Three Education Award by the Central Conservatory of Music and Huangyuanli Prize. Xinning was also honored as the Excellent Instructor in Wenhua Cup, Asia Cup in Hongkong, Kawai National Piano Competition; Chinese Small Golden Bell Competition; Caesar Cup and Xinhai Cup, etc. In 2017, Xinning was highly honored with the “Golden Badge” by the Central Conservatory of Music. She publicized the “Zhang Xinning Piano Sonata Album” and she was admitted in Chinese Musicians Chart in 2009. During her professional career as a piano educator, Xinning had many solo and concerto concerts, she was invited as the secretary-general of Xinhai Cup; she was also invited as the judge for many important competitions and give lectures in Paris, Los Angeles, Taipei; the Piano Department of Royal Academy of Music in Amsterdam; the Music Department of University of Utah; the Canadian Morning Jasmine Music Bridge. She was the invited as the judge of the International Liszt Piano Competition in Germany and Asian Teenager Piano Competition in Macao. Many of her talented students were enrolled with outstanding results in top level schools such like Central Conservatory of Music; the Juilliard School in the US; Manhattan School of Music in the US; the Royal College of Music in London, etc. |
