The 2019 International Maestro Piano Festival will take place at the The Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University from January 18 - 28 2019. There will be lessons and lectures taught from world top artists, with  numerous concerts during the festival plus Star Concert Pianist Competition at the end. All the activities will not only take place at the beautiful campus of the HSNU but also at the National Concert Hall where the "All-Star Faculty Concert" will take place.

The Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University is located at the City Centre of Taipei, next to the beautiful Daan Park, and the elegant urbane Xin-Yi district. You can also take the public transport within 20 minutes from the HSNU to the National Performing Arts Centre: National Concert/Recital Hall and Huashan Creative Park. It's the best location for young artists to thrive and appreciate concerts, opera and performing arts.

There will also be more then 27 grand piano practice rooms reserved for all the participants during the entire festival.

The festival is opened worldwide for all the musicians to apply now online, no age limit. No matter if you are general publics, music lovers, or musicians, you are all more then welcome to join us as passive auditors, as volunteers, or as sponsors.   • We have three different kind of tickets on the door:
  1. Day Saver Ticket (1600 NTD): you can audit all the master classes on the purchased day.
  2. Triple Entry Ticket (900 NTD): you can audit three sessions among all the master classes
  3. Single Ticket (500 NTD): you can audit one session among all the master classes.

*We have many master classes conducted by different professors simultaneously on the site. One master class conducted by one professor will be one session. All the master classes will be held at the Music Education Building of the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University during Jan 19-26, 2019.   • We only offer Single entry ticket for the Lectures on the 20th of January. The price for the single entry ticket is NTD 1,000. If you want to audit the Lectures on the 19th of January (Robert Levin & John Perry), please buy the "Ticket Package for all the Lectures" to attend the Lectures. We don't offer single entry ticket for the lectures on the 19th of January.

Master Classes and Lecturers


​In the compact week of the festival, there will not only be lessons with  world renowned artists teaching all the active participants, we also have lectures and translators helping all the audience and participants to have a wonderful musical experience in Taipei.

Star Concert Pianist Competition


​The participants of the festival don't just experience wonderful lessons and lectures but they get to perform and get opportunities to jump on the international performing stage!

At the final days of the festival there is the star concert pianist competition. All the students in the category A will be performing their final concert before the festival ends. Their performance is at the same time their competition. The winner of the 2019 edition will be rewarded concerto performance opportunity with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra in 2020/2021 season.

Concert Opportunity & Star Faculty Concert


There will be the All-Star Faculty Concert during the festival where you will have a chance to see all of our international renowned professors and artists playing in the same concert!

Students in the category A will be performing in 5 Promising Star Concerts at the end of the festival. It is the great chance to grow, be seen and gain experience on the performing stage.
